Program Note

Onward is about four characters, one assigned to each part. Each movement explores the qualities of these characters through multiple themes exposed in the Prelude. Lighthearted, boisterous, and hopeful, Onward is energetically paced and encourages expression and stylistic interpretation through the adoption of each of the characters' personalities through the performers.
