Program Note

One of my earliest works composed while at the University of North Texas, Gnossienne Tune was created during an overlap in my interest in the work of Erik Satie as well as my introduction to various extended techniques on both string instruments and the saxophone. Heavily quoting Satie's Gnossienne No. 1, my intent was to capture my reflections on the mood of his work in my own terms.
